Compensation for Life-Changing Clinical Errors

When medical treatment goes wrong due to negligence, the consequences can be devastating. Whether it’s a misdiagnosis, surgical mistake, or delayed treatment, medical errors can leave patients with permanent injuries, pain, or long-term complications.

At InjuryTimeClaims, we support people affected by serious medical negligence. If your condition has worsened because a healthcare professional failed in their duty of care, you may be entitled to significant compensation — and we can help you claim it on a no win, no fee basis.

FAQs - Medical Negligence Claims

Medical negligence occurs when the standard of care provided by a healthcare professional falls below that expected, and causes avoidable harm. This includes misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, or treatment delays that worsen a condition.

Yes. You can claim against the NHS for negligent care just as you can for private providers. Compensation comes from an NHS trust’s insurer — not individual doctors or nurses. The NHS has a dedicated body (NHS Resolution) to handle claims.

The general time limit is 3 years from the date of injury, or when you became aware of it. For children, the clock starts at age 18. If the injured person lacks mental capacity, time limits may not apply.

That depends on:

  • The type and severity of injury
  • Impact on future health and life expectancy
  • Care needs and home adaptations
  • Loss of earnings
  • Emotional/psychological trauma

Serious claims can reach six or seven figures, especially in cases involving permanent disability or birth injury.

Yes. All claims through InjuryTimeClaims are handled on a no win, no fee basis. If your claim is unsuccessful, you pay nothing. If you win, the solicitor’s fee is deducted from your compensation — fully explained upfront.
